Below are some of my favorite links:
Fong Ha’s Integrated Chuan Institute — Of the links here, this is my favorite. Fong Ha was my teacher — he passed away in September 2019. He practiced Tai Chi Chuan for over 65 years!
Wayzata Community Education Catalog — I teach classes here and this link should take you to the current classes — scroll Down the “Yang Style” classes.
Instructor Soderberg’s Facebook Page — This is my Facebook page (obviously)
Cheng Man Ching 37 Move Form — This is Cheng Man Ching performing the 37-Move Form that he developed. This is also the form that I teach. He is younger in this video than in the video below, and the movements are more distinct.
Cheng Man Ching 37 Form Video — This is a second video of the Yang Short Form that I teach, performed by Cheng Man Ching himself.
Yang Jun performing the Sword Form — This video of Yang Jun (current Yang family Lineage Holder) is a nice video of the traditional Yang Family Sword Form.
Julien Lacaille – 20-Minute Sitting Meditation: Awareness of Breathing — You can access this online, or you can download the Insight Timer app to utilize this link. The app is free and is quite good. This is an excellent meditation emphasizing paying attention to the breath, which is one of the things you should do while meditating.
7 Mistakes to Fix in Tai Chi – This video by Master Gu Shining is a fairly concise treatment of seven mistakes beginners often make. Note: Some of the mistakes he mentions leans to the martial side of Tai Chi Chuan. But as I always tell my students, there is a large amount of overlap between Tai Chi as a health practice and Tai Chi as a martial art. In other words, the aspects of Tai Chi that make it a martial art are also very healthy. For example, when Master Gu talks about using jing, qi, and shen when coordinating eye and hand movements (Mistake # 2), this helps move the qi, which is both martial and very healthy.
